Support Our Upcoming High Holidays
Gospel Video Project!

Our team in Israel has been working on a new film project for the High Holidays this fall. We are thrilled to offer you an exclusive first look at the project, exploring the true meaning of Yom Kippur and its significance.
Today in Israel, a common understanding of Yom Kippur often focuses on personal efforts to make things right with God — through good deeds as a means of justification, seeking forgiveness from those we’ve wronged, or noticeably fasting. But as we look deeper into the Bible, we discover a different perspective about Yom Kippur.

Insights from the project:

“Yom Kippur was never about us or what we could offer. Unlike all other holy days, you don’t offer a sacrifice or bring any offering at all. You wait expectantly for the High Priest to do his work. And as we read, ‘No one is to be in the tent of meeting from the time Aaron goes in to make atonement in the Most Holy Place until he comes out.’ Even the other priests had to wait. The High Priest alone went into the Holy of Holies to offer the blood of the sacrifice for Israel’s national sin. Our part was to wait on our High Priest with faith.” Even the other priests had to wait. The High Priest alone went into the Holy of Holies to offer the blood of the sacrifice for Israel’s National sin. Our part was to wait on Our High Priest with faith.

The video goes on to explore accounts of how certain events reportedly stopped happening at the second temple 40 years before its destruction — a period aligning precisely with the time of Yeshua’s crucifixion and resurrection.

So what changed? The book of Hebrews gives more context:

“We have such a High Priest, who is seated at the right hand of the throne of the Majesty in the heavens, a Minister of the sanctuary and of the true tabernacle… But now He has obtained a more excellent ministry, inasmuch as He is also Mediator of a better covenant, which was established on better promises.”
Yeshua is the better High Priest of a better covenant, as the book to the Hebrews states, ‘Because Yeshua lives forever, he has a permanent priesthood. Therefore he is able to save completely those who come to God through him, because he always lives to intercede for them.’
“The book of Hebrews goes on to say: ‘He has appeared once for all at the culmination of the ages to do away with sin by the sacrifice of himself. Just as people are destined to die once, and after that to face judgment, so Messiah was sacrificed once to take away the sins of many; and he will appear a second time, not to bear sin, but to bring salvation to those who are waiting for him.’”
The implications of this are profound for our people across Israel — and we pray that many hearts will be opened to receive Yeshua.
This is why it’s essential to share this truth with as many people as possible in Hebrew and English!
