New Poll Finds 1/2 the World is “Significantly Antisemitic”

With synagogues attacked, antisemitic graffiti across major cities and Jews intimidated in US campuses and in Dutch streets, it should come as no surprise that the latest survey conducted by the Anti-Defamation League1 found 46% of adults across the world hold significantly antisemitic beliefs. I say it “should” come as some surprise, but the poll results are truly shocking.

ADL chief Jonathan Greenblatt said the findings constituted a “global emergency.”

Astonishingly, one in five of all respondents, from a sample of over 100 counties covering 94% of the world’s population, had never heard of the Holocaust. Less than half (48%) recognized the Holocaust as historical fact, and only 39% of the younger generation (aged 18 to 34), believing it was historically reliable. That number drops even further to just 16% among respondents from the Middle East and North Africa where Holocaust denial is more prevalent.

Over the years, the Holocaust Memorial day has often been diluted to become a generic day to remember all kinds of wars and atrocities, significantly sidelining the unique and genocidal attempt by Hitler to remove every Jew from the planet. The Holocaust was singularly horrific and the need for education regarding the event has been highlighted even more by the findings of the ADL poll.

As we come up to Holocaust Memorial Day this year, the so-called “Islamic Human Rights Commission” (IHRC) sent a letter to 460 British town halls and educational institutions, saying, “We urge supporters to request HMD organizers to acknowledge the genocide in Gaza in their 2025 commemoration,” and warned of consequences if the request was not granted. Should the organizers refuse, the threat was made to “publicize the event organizer’s refusal to recognize all genocides, including that of the Palestinians in Gaza” and “organize a boycott of their event until they commit to opposing and condemning all genocides universally.”

Greenblatt highlighted the problems created by the Al Jazeera news network which he called a “nonstop fountain of antisemitism,” but it seems a lot of western media is being influenced in much the same way, twisting the narrative to make terror groups like Hamas seem like the good guys.

The younger generation seems to hold even more antisemitic views than older generations. A shocking 23% expressed favorable opinions toward Hamas, and that rises to 29% for those under 35 years of age.

As part of the research project, the ADL poll asked more than 58,000 people from all over the world how true they felt these statements to be, and if they held six or more to be “probably” or “definitely” true, they were considered to hold significantly antisemitic views. Here are the statements:

Jews’ loyalty is only to Israel
Jews have too much power in the business world
Jews still talk too much about what happened to them in the Holocaust
Jews don’t care what happens to anyone but their own kind
People hate jews because of the way jews behave
Jews have too much control over global affairs
Jews think they are better than other people
Jews have a lot of irritating faults
Jews have too much control over the media
Jews are responsible for most of the world’s wars
Jews have too much control over the country’s government

According to the findings, almost half of the world’s adults (2.2 billion adults globally) hold “deeply entrenched” antisemitic views, double the amount from a decade ago. The sharp rise represents a 108% increase since 2014.

“I don’t have the words to adequately describe how dangerous this spike is,” Greenblatt said.

In the Middle East, predictably, the levels soar, but with one striking exception: Iran. Ramin Parsa, an Iranian who now lives with his Israeli wife in Israel, spoke to ALL ISRAEL NEWS about why he thinks the people of Iran are the least antisemitic in the region:

“For years the Islamic regime painted Israel as illegitimate, oppressive occupiers. But when the people of Iran saw that the Islamic regime is doing to them what the regime was accusing Israel of, they realized that Israel must be good because the regime hates them and Hamas must not be good because the regime supports them.”

“They realize that Israel is the victim of the same Islamic terrorism that the people of Iran have been at the hands of their own regime,” he said, adding, “every time Israel eliminated an IRGC commander, the people in Iran felt avenged. The Iranian people root for Israel to win over the same people who have been oppressing them for more than four decades. Millions have embraced Christianity and look to a day when Israel and Iran would be friends again. We pray for this to happen.”2

The media is presenting a warped narrative about Israel along with some outright lies. Minds are being poisoned all over the world. But sometimes the darkness gets too overwhelming and highlights the fact that it is indeed dark… and then people start to crave the light. Pray for people to see antisemitism for what it is: a Satanic hatred of God and His covenant people.
