Another Amazing Miracle: Multiple Bus Bombs Discovered and Disarmed, Zero Casualties

Yet again, Israel has narrowly avoided incalculable death and destruction as multiple bombs were found on buses, primed to detonate at rush hour. Some were discovered in time, others detonated early, injuring no one.

Police spokesperson, Aryeh Doron, said on Kan Reshet Bet, “It’s a miracle; this could have been a major attack.”

Like every major war in Israel, we have seen multiple miracles testifying to God’s protection. When we experienced the intense ballistic battering from Iran with not a single Israeli casualty, we have to say, “Thank you, God!” We have seen terrible tragedies and lost far too many lives, but in among the darkness we see God’s hand at work. He has not forsaken His people. Now we have yet another amazing miracle story to tell.

Two explosions occurred within minutes of each other, with another bus bomb exploding some 15 minutes later, all in Bat Yam, near Tel Aviv. An additional explosive device planted on a bus was also set to detonate, but a woman spotted something suspicious and reported it. It was disarmed and no one was hurt at all.

Ophir Karni, CEO of the Dan Bus Company, told Kan News, “The incident began around 8:00 PM when the terminal manager received a call from a driver near the terminal. A passenger on the bus pointed out a suspicious bag, and the driver was instructed to head to the terminal immediately. When he arrived, the shift manager told him to evacuate the bus. The explosion occurred just after everyone had moved away.”

The buses were empty, and police say that the bombs were intended to explode the following day, in the busy Friday morning traffic.

According to All Israel News, each device weighed about 5 kg and was locally manufactured, with a timer mechanism similar to those seen in the West Bank, leading security officials to believe that the devices were planted by terrorists living in Judea and Samaria. One of the bombs reportedly bore a message in Arabic mentioning the Palestinian city of Tulkarem which, together with Jenin, has been a hotbed of terrorism. Israel is now focusing their attention towards the Palestinian territory, sending three IDF battalions to deal with the rising threats.

An eyewitness named Mahmoud Issawi said, “I heard a loud explosion, went outside, and saw a bus on fire. At first, I thought it was an electric bus, but given the intensity of the explosion, that didn’t make sense. It was an insane explosion.”

God’s got our back

Hillel Fuld, American Israeli technology business advisor, wrote in amazement about the miracle of what happened. He is convinced that a far greater tragedy was prevented. He wrote,

“Last night, a young lady noticed a suspicious object on a bus in the center of Israel. She reported it to the driver who pulled into a station, got everyone off the bus, at which point, the bus blew up and was completely destroyed. But that wasn’t the end of it. Not even close. Over the hours that followed, an additional four bombs were discovered on busses, some of them exploded, others were taken apart before exploding.

…For decades, we did not have any bus explosions in Israel. We do this deal and release terrorists, some of whom were the architects behind the bus bombings during the intifada, and all of a sudden, we’re back to busses blowing up. I can’t imagine anyone believing that that’s a coincidence. All of this was supposed to go down during rush hour and would have caused hundreds, maybe thousands of Israelis deaths. Even if the rest isn’t true, multiple busses blowing up like this bus during rush hour? Can’t even imagine.

Fuld highlighted the fact that the timing of the planned attack was on the very day Israel was deep in mourning as the Bibas family returned in coffins, in the most gruesome way.

“Yesterday morning was one of the hardest days in Israel’s history. Perhaps the hardest. We all felt hopeless, every last one of us. When we are in pain, God is in pain with us. I don’t know about you, but yesterday morning, as I saw the coffins of the Bibas angels, I looked up to Hashem and asked why. Why would he cause us so much pain or allow Hamas to do this to us?? I told myself that we’ll be ok but wasn’t sure if that was true. Was God even watching over us any more? Has He abandoned us? Did He turn His back on us? Then, as the hostages were being delivered, a beautiful rainbow appeared in the Israeli skies, a sign from the times of Noah, that God won’t ever destroy the world or let it be destroyed. A rainbow, according to Jewish scripture, is God’s way of telling us, “Don’t worry. I got your back.” Still, though, I was just so sad and so angry.

And then the news started to hit my feeds. A bus exploded. No injuries. Hmm, “How does that happen?” I asked myself. Then another bus exploded. No injuries. And a third. No injuries. I already felt God’s presence again. I could breathe again.

And the news kept coming in. More bombs discovered. More intel. This was supposed to be the biggest attack since 10/7, maybe even bigger. Totally thwarted. By who? The IDF? Nope. Shabak? Nope. Mossad? Nope. This was a massive attack prevented 100% by God Himself. And a very vigilant young lady who noticed the suspicious object.

Whatever Hamas planned or didn’t plan for this morning, I would not be writing these words if their plan had come to fruition. But God had other plans and after all the pain God’s children endured yesterday, He felt we needed to be reminded of His presence. He felt we needed to be reminded that He has our back, now and always. He was right. We did need it.

…For now, I just wanted to recognize Hashem’s greatness and on behalf of the hundreds, maybe thousands of Israelis who should be dead right now, just say thank you.”

God used me to save lives

The “very vigilant young lady” that Fuld mentioned who alerted security was Adi Jegna. She told the Jewish News Syndicate what happened:

“When I saw the pictures of my destroyed bus, I realized the extent of the disaster that was averted,” Adi Jegna said.

When she first noticed a white bag on a seat of the bus while traveling home on Thursday evening, something didn’t feel right, prompting her to get up and took a closer look. She saw rolls of toilet paper, and a container with some yellowish liquid.

“Frankly speaking I debated whether I should say anything,” she told JNS, but after seeing some lettering in Arabic, she said, “Then I understood I could not ignore it.”

She felt concerned that she might be over-reacting, but told the driver about it just before leaving the bus. The driver immediately contacted his superiors, who instructed him to head straight to the nearby bus depot while the police bomb squad was alerted. No sooner had he gotten off the bus himself than a huge explosion ripped through it.

Apparently Jegna heard the blast from her home, but didn’t realize what it was at the time, and only later when she heard from a friend about a bus bombing, and that someone had alerted the driver, she made the connection.

“I felt incredible,” she told JNS. “I felt that I was the messenger from God to save many people.”
