These are truly amazing times. God’s Spirit is being poured out like never before here in the Middle East, bringing in a harvest of new believers from the Muslim world, and also from among the Jewish people, at a pace that is hard to keep up with. Not only that, but we are also seeing God draw Jewish and Arab pastors together in precious unity that feels completely new, right here in Israel today! Is God is fixing his broken nets to prepare for a miraculous catch of fish? It is so important that we as believers are united and ready for a great influx of new believers.

We are receiving so many requests for New Testaments, information, help and advice on what to do after receiving Yeshua as Messiah that the team can’t keep up with it all! We get messages of this nature all the time these days. Truly, we are seeing things that have not been seen before in the modern State of Israel.

A friend went to the Western Wall to share his faith, and started talking with an Orthodox Jewish guy called David. They went over some Messianic prophecies like Isaiah 53, and asked him, “Is there anyone in history who’s fulfilled these Messianic prophecies?” David thought for a moment, looked confused, then said, “Yeshu?” (the distorted version of “Yeshua,” Jesus’ name in Hebrew). He later said, “Whenever you bring up Yeshua to our people, it’s like we just turn our faces away from him and don’t want to listen – just like it says in this verse in Isaiah 53.” But David was interested, went away eager to look into it further.

This is happening more and more. I heard of a German lady who was walking about in Jerusalem recently, and an Orthodox Jewish guy pulled her to one side of the street (this is already highly unusual). Then he just started to ask her question after question about Yeshua. The infrastructure of revival is being laid under the surface, and is starting to break out. Quite a lot of Jewish people in Israel believe in Yeshua on some level now, and some are starting to come in for the harvest. When God clicks his fingers and pours out his Spirit, what a marvel it will be!

“So I ask”, says the author of Romans about the Jewish people, “did they stumble in order that they might fall? By no means! Rather through their trespass salvation has come to the Gentiles, so as to make Israel jealous.

Now if their trespass means riches for the world, and if their failure means riches for the Gentiles, how much more will their full inclusion mean! …If their rejection means the reconciliation of the world, what will their acceptance mean but life from the dead?

You, although a wild olive shoot, were grafted in among the others and now share in the nourishing root of the olive tree, do not be arrogant towards the branches. If you are, remember it is not you who support the root, but the root that supports you… For if you were cut from what is by nature a wild olive tree, and grafted, contrary to nature, into a cultivated olive tree, how much more will these, the natural branches, be grafted back into their own olive tree… Lest you be wise in your own sight, I want you to understand this mystery, brothers: a partial hardening has come upon Israel, until the fullness of the Gentiles has come in.

And in this way all Israel will be saved… For the gifts and the calling of God are irrevocable.” (A selection of verses from Hebrews 11)

The vast majority of Biblical prophecies regarding Israel (over 80%) have come to pass so far, and there are only a very few left to be fulfilled in these end times. We have no reason to doubt that God will continue with his plans and accomplish them all, including salvation on this epic scale. But are we, the believers, ready for a huge harvest? A miraculous catch of fish?
In the gospels, we read two miracles of this nature – the disciples are out fishing all night long with no success, then Yeshua rocks up, suggests they try the other side of the boat, and before you know it, the nets are so full of fish that they can barely bring them all in! But there is a key difference between the two stories. The first time in Luke, we are told that the nets were so full of fish that they were bursting out and that the nets began to break. The second time happens after the resurrection of Yeshua, and John tells us  that even though the nets were full to bursting, the nets still did not break!
This is a great picture for us here in Israel to put divisions and bitterness aside, and to join forces, holding hands, and ready to embrace the coming harvest together. The great revivals of the past have two things in common: earnest prayer, and unity among believers. Please pray for increased grace and blessing on the believers in Israel, the Palestinian territories, and beyond, that we may be joined together as one new man in Yeshua to serve him and his wonderful purposes in these exciting times.
God has not finished with Israel yet!
